Notice of Greenwich Township Board of Education Vacancy

A vacancy has occurred on the Greenwich Township Board of Education. Since it appears unlikely that the vacancy will be filled by the board of education within 65 days of its occurrence, NJSA 18A: 12-15 requires the Executive County Superintendent of Schools to appoint a person to serve on the board until the organization meeting following the next annual school election.

To qualify, candidates must:

- be able to read and write

- hold citizenship and residency in Greenwich Township for at least one year

- have no interest in any contract with, or claim against the Greenwich Township Board of Education

- Not hold office as mayor or member of the governing body of Greenwich Township

- Be registered to vote in the district and not disqualified as a voter under NJSA 19:4-1.
